Mortuary Passport

In case of death abroad, or for the international transfer of the body outside Italy, Funebri Onoranze Morasca can obtain a Mortuary Passport, which allows the transportation the deceasedto any of the following countries under the Berlin Convention: Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Portugal , Netherlands, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Egypt, Turkey, Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire), Chile and Mexico.

In the event that the death occurred in one of the countries not participating in the agreement, our agency can help you to undertake the correct procedure for obtaining the authorization to transfer the body, a practice that includes the diplomatic authorities or the Italian Consulate in the country in which the transfer occurred; the signature must be authenticated at the Prefecture.
