The mandatory paperwork and formalities

In case of death, the law requires that the family members or a domestic partner or another person informed of the death, carries the mandatory death complaint. This is a regular practice necessary to start the funeral process.

A certificate of necropsy issued by the AUSL, and the ISTAT statistical data compiled by medical personnel are the two documents that need to be submitted. In cases where the death took place in a hospital, an institute or at a public facility, there are certain specific administrative directions to deal with these documents.
